'Milton Glaser'
'Computers are to Design as Microwaves are to Cooking'

Milton Glaser is best known for his iconic logo, I Love NY. This became the most frequently imitated logo design in human history. After September 11, 2001, Glaser updated his I Love NY design by adding a smudge to the lower corner of the heart and the words ' More than Ever'. The smudge on the heart representing a wounded heart. The smudge being a portion of lower Manhattan where the Twin Towers once stood. He has designed and illustrated more than 300 posters. Another recognizable design by Glaser is the phychodelic poster of Bob Dylan.

Milton Glaser a New Yorker was born on the 26th of June, 1929. He is still alive and working today.

He studied at the Cooper Union Art School and attended The Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna, Italy under Giorgio Morandi. Glaser was the founder and president of the "Push Pin" Studio in 1954, founded New York Magazine with Clay Felker in 1968, established Milton Glaser, inc. in 1974 and he collaborated with Walter Bernard in 1983 to form the publication design firm WBMG.

Glaser gathered his unique designs from Art Nouveau to 1930's Comic Art combining illustration with typograph and design. Push Pin Studios made a phenomenal impact on visual culture from the 1950's to the 1980's.
